The Maryland Department of Agriculture Secretary Mister request for funding under the Federal State Marketing Improvement Program (FSMIP) has been granted a request to begin a project entitled "Reaching New Customers Via an On-Line Virtual Farmers Market in a Suburbanized Area of Maryland".  The Maryland Department of Agriculture will work in concert with the Howard County Economic Development Authority to complete this project.  FarmerLink has been selected as the vehicle to provide the internet e-marketing tools to begin this project.  Three major corporations in Howard County will pioneer the feasibility of this project.
